Why Our Clients Stay Loyal to Our Agency

11/7/2020

Picture
Business owners are smart and wise. They are experienced and for the most part, successful individuals. In the course of running their business, they have been involved in many good business relationships and have also been subjected to some bad ones along the way. Most importantly, they know exactly what each one feels like.

If you are a business owner, read on and you will learn that you are not alone in feeling that you've occasionally been failed by unfulfilled provider promises. You'll also learn that the grass can actually be greener if you find the right agency to represent your company's internet presence and advertising/promotion/exposure campaigns.

If you are a website developer or digital agency owner, you should read on also... then either be proud of your work ethic or learn a lesson regarding long-term mutual success. Commit to mastering your craft, then deliver what your clients expect, then go beyond that and exceed expectations. Be responsible to your industry and your clients and your agency will thrive, like ours does.

Be Responsible and Set Accurate Expectations
The relationship should begin with responsibility. It seems overly simplistic to state this, but I can't tell you how many times we've received calls from desperate business owners who mention experiencing the following scenarios to us when moving away from their current provider:
  • They never showed up.
  • They disappeared for weeks at a time.
  • They consistently missed the timeline.
  • They didn't deliver what they said they would.
  • They made excuses for EVERYTHING.
  • They showed no passion for my project.
  • It sounded to good to be true, and it was.
  • It started off great, then steadily digressed.
At Creative Web Advisors, Inc., we are always baffled by these scenarios. We don't understand why the faltering developer or agency figurately gets out of bed, gets dressed, puts all the effort in that it takes to land a new client, then at some point soon they just back away and let the new relationship deteriorate.

Why don't these chronic 'disappointers' just go straight to the beach instead and stop wasting everyone's time, including their own?

The little secret here is that business owners just want a fair chance to be successful. And they will remain loyal when they feel their interests are in the hands of a competent provider that cares about their company, their success, and their needs, in a responsible manner. That's why it's called a relationship... get it?
Stay Connected and Deliver
One of the most frequent complaints about a previous provider is that they don't communicate like they did in the beginning and the disconnection leaves the client wondering if they are doing their job or not. And even if they are doing their job, it seems less enthused and somewhat mediocre, with a lack of passion or the winning mentality it takes to succeed. Again, baffling! For 10+ years, our agency has lived (and thrived) on the "no-contracts" model of month-to-month agreements, with the understanding that we must earn our compensation every time we receive it.
Clients Want a Fair Shake, So Give it to Them
The little secret on this one is that everyone wins together.  So stay connected! Send routine emails with status updates, check in routinely, show the client the great work you're doing, and show them the failures too because they will appreciate your honesty in the workplace. In addition to staying connected, the last ingredient is to deliver awesome results! The nice thing about that is if you're responsible in knowing what you're doing, setting accurate expectations because you've done this before (whatever 'this' is for you), staying connected to your client, and working with passion towards their goals, then the results will follow. Funny how that works, isn't it?
How We Roll at CWA
We have a motto here: We'll be the last Internet Development and Marketing Agency you'll ever hire. Interestingly, in our 10+ years of business, that motto has held true for many clients and outside of a business sale or retirement, we can't think of one time it didn't (scout's honor)!

  • If we can do it, then we say we can. If we can't, we say that too.
  • We set a development plan and stick to it. If there are any unforeseen complications, we communicate them immediately, work towards solutions, and adjust our ETA's.
  • We set a marketing plan and make adjustments until we achieve the goal of maximum ROI.
  • We maintain a well connected relationship throughout the developmental processes and marketing campaign management, we work hard to deliver impressive results, and we stay connected.

Whether it's a minor website update or an on-going Internet Presence and Marketing Campaign that continues for more than a decade (yes, we've been in business for 10+ years and maintain many of the same clients since day one), we treat each client's business as if it is our own... because at the end of the day, as we said earlier...  everyone wins together!

If you are a developer or run an agency, do it the right way and you'll be blessed like we are, with loyal clients who appreciate your work, your care, and your concern for their best interests. Our clients will will be the first to tell you, and any other agency that contacts them, that they are well taken care of by CWA and would not be interested in considering any changes,

If you are a business owner, don't settle for less. Cut that bad relationship off and find yourself a better provider. They are out there. While you're searching, stick with agencies like CWA that are Google Certified Partners. Only about 10% of all web development and marketing agencies are Google Partners. Choose one that cares about you and your company's growth.  It will make a big difference in your day-to-day experience and to your bottom line. Trust us, you can ignite huge improvements in bottom line results.

We invite you to contact us to schedule a consultation if you would like to discuss how we can be of assistance to you.

Marketing Post COVID-19

6/8/2020

Picture
Obviously we are writing this post from a business and marketing perspective and not a medical or health related one. That being said, lets dive in!

In many cases, the effects of COVID-19 are unavoidable and in some ways even pre-determined. For example if you are in the party boat business, then your business is one of the unfortunate ones.
But in many other cases, the effects can be what you make of them. They can be a bump in the road, or... wait for it... maybe even an opportunity! Allow us to explain:

Think about the restaurant that was so busy making the donuts, or pasta, or seafood, etc... that they never did try out that delivery service or online ordering system or online review system. Well, though necessity, now they have a great online ordering app and reviews are looking great! Lucky? No. When handed lemons, they made lemonade, and now they are stronger, and more profitable, for the future.

Think about the retail stores that spruced up the e-commerce portions of their website and have since downsized their commercial space, lowered their expenses, and you guessed it.. are now better for the future, and more profitable.

Think about the landscaper or pressure cleaning business that simply installed a point of sale card reader onto his phone so he can provide a "touch-less" service to his customers. Now he doesn't chase payments or wait for checks in the mail. Again, a stronger business, and a more profitable one.

There are so many examples of businesses that have made decisions and updates to survive, and they are already thriving because of those new features or abilities.

We'll end with the website and marketing company, lets call it, I don't know...  Creative Web Advisors, Inc. , an agency which understood that loyal clients sometimes need their web/marketing agency to just offer a helping hand or do a little extra in getting through these last few months. Maybe it was discounting a payment, or extending a due date, or including a few extra features, or some other form of appreciation. That type of goodwill goes a long way towards a successful business relationship, and is perhaps our favorite example of making lemonade!

If you would like assistance with website development, online marketing, or other business growth services, we invite you to contact us for a discussion. Stay healthy and all our best!

Marketing During COVID-19

4/19/2020

Picture
Businesses have been managing the coronavirus pandemic for more than two months now.

While the information below is geared towards this specific challenge, the advice below can be helpful anytime a company experiences an unforeseen downturn in business.
Tip #1:
Help others selflessly.
Whether it is your clients, customers, colleagues, employees, friends, neighbors, or strangers... it is a not only a good personal to be a helper, but it is a wise business decision as well. While revenue may suffer by "paying it forward", the strongest relationships are those that are built by weathering storms together. Your clientele will remember who cared and your business will be better for it.

Tip #2:
Offer solutions to problems.
We all suffer from the same problem, but we are each affected differently. Take the time to understand what your customer's challenge is, then offer to do what you can to alleviate it. For existing clients, possibly it's a payment plan that will help, or a pause, or just a visit and some one-on-one conversation. For new prospects, let them know all the ways they can safely interact with your business.

Tip #3:
Review and Revise.
During a downturn, there will be time available for reviewing and improving processes, getting more organized, updating websites, configuring new business plans, and etc. The goal is to have your company re-emerge as a better version of itself. Regarding marketing campaigns, a temporarily revised plan should be launched that best coincides with the needs of our target audience.

Remember, this too shall pass. It's the companies that act instead of react that will strengthen their current customer base, continue attracting new prospects, and become more efficient for the future.

If you would like assistance with website development, online marketing, or other business growth services, we invite you to contact us for a discussion. Stay healthy and all our best!

Google Ads are All About the Funnel

2/26/2020

Picture
At CWA, we talk about it all the time, and we have the results to prove it. Google Ads can provide a steady flow of prospects to your company if constructed and managed by an experienced company... one that takes the time to learn about your industry as well as your company's products, services and sales process.

CWA is a Google Certified Partner, so that takes care of the question, "Which company should I trust to manage my PPC campaign?" Now, why are we talking about a funnel? Great question!

The sales funnel is a tool we use to start targeting your prospect before we even spend one penny of a client's advertising budget.
At CWA, our creative team chooses wisely when constructing its keyword lists and the ad copy that will attract your favorite types of prospects. Before the click occurs, we will have already successfully targeted your prospect through two important stages of the sales funnel, the "buy signal" keyword that triggered the ad, and the "directed" ad copy itself.

To learn more about utilizing keywords, ad copy, and the many other variables of Google Ads management, contact us any time. We'll be happy to discuss creating and managing a profitable advertising campaign for your business!
